Jesse and I had long been awaiting the arrival of Star Wars Lego: Echo Base, and it finally showed up at Wal Mart a couple weeks ago. The $29.99 price tag seems a little steep for a 155 piece set, but you do get 2 Hoth Rebel Troopers, 2 Snowtroopers, and parka wearing Han Solo on a freakin tauntaun! We're pretty stoked on this.
Jesse built this diorama of a Rebel beachfront being stormed by Imperial forces. He re-used the awesome spider droid from the previous post.

This is a secret Rebel Base that Jesse and I built. Or should I say WAS a secret rebel base. Those pesky Stormtroopers have discovered it and are about to storm it. One of them has even planted detonation devices on the roof. It's about to get messy.
This scene was conceived and built by Jesse. I only helped lay the blue pieces, and came up with simple, functioning drawbridge. The castle is built on and surrounded by water and guards a treasure. A tempting prize for courageous adventurers.
This is our first attempt at a diorama. Far from perfect, as we have a serious shortage of grey bricks. But I seriously love the bridge Jesse built.
Will our weary adventurers defeat the skelly guards and collect the treasure that awaits? Or will they end up as crispy critters in the lava below?
Jesse and I would like to wish Lego a Happy 50th Birthday. I had no idea, but I actually share my birthday with Lego. Pretty sweet. When I got home from work, I found a cute little birthday scene that Jesse had made from me. I especially like the birthday cake and my moustache.
